When the autumn has officially started…
My weekend began from Friday night, when I decided to watch The Town with my friend, at Cameo *according to him, the only movie theater where Hollywood movies are played without French dubbing*. I’m surprised with the studio though, uhm… small, and the seats aren’t even aligned in steps. But it’s not too bad ^^ at least I still could enjoy the movie without any sight of people’s head who sat in front of me. The movie? Until now I still don’t understand why the rating at IMDB is 8.2/10 ;p. It’s kinda hard to understand the dialogues *French subtitle didn’t help*, especially if all I could hear in every sentence is f**k.
Then Saturday came… I woke up when it’s almost time for lunch ^^; And what’s for lunch?
KFC!! Yumm… Finally, after a long journey *err, not that long actually, but it’s located about 20 minutes by bus from the city center*. From now on, I declare one new goal of my life “tasting KFC’s fried chicken in as-much-as-possible-countries in the world” *now still only 3 listed: my home country, South Korea, and here* :)).
Back to the city center by bus, got out at the wrong bus stop, and a little bit lost *just a little*. Then I found the tram stop, fyuh, and got in the tram. After a while, the tram didn’t move at all, and people started to get out. WTH? In the end, I decided to walk. Thank God the weather was so nice. Look at the sky!
Stumbled upon a beautiful building…
And finally found out what’s the cause of sudden stop of the tram…
Yap, a grève, a.k.a strike against some bad laws by the government.
Then for dinner… Indian food! Prepared by Shashi, an undercover chef who disguise as a master student of NLP ;p.
With Provençal 3rd floor gang…
Who like to make silly faces :))
Sunday morning! *Eww, only one day of weekend left -_-*
To Place Stanislas, off we go! I never knew that Place Stanislas have a garden, it seems that the garden only appears on Sunday ^^; There’s even a garden of… vegetables *carrot, potato, lettuce…*!!
According to nancy.fr, it is free to enter Musée des Beaux-Arts on the first Sunday of every month. Yippie!
So many paintings *of course*, and I found my favorite painter. Émile Friant, his paintings always seem so real. Yep, I’m a realist, and realism is my favorite genre of painting ;p. Like in below picture, somehow you can see the emotion that flowing in their face.
Besides painting, there is also this weird set of dining table…
And great collection of crystal art of Daum. Beautiful…
The city hall, Hotel de Ville, the biggest building of Place Stanislas also opened for public. Here here, take a look of what’s inside…
The view from the balcony… So many people! ^^
After eating delicious ice cream, we went to the park near Place Stanislas, Parc de la Pépinière. Seeing some old tree, which looks like a very old man sleeping…
Pony riding, I want it too! But maybe just for children *well, I could pretend as a 10 years old girl ;p*.
And market of fresh product from the village…
Tired as hell, but fun! Time to go home… As a conclusion, my first weekend of October 2010 is… perfect ^^.
Now, back to the course material…
Logic, statistic, automaton, transducer… &^%&#$%@&$!!
